Abstract

The role of public relations is now crucial as the demands of interests and needs for information in the era of the transformation of conventional media into new media. The image of an organization is also determined by public relations. The ability of public relations in carrying out PR activities will be very beneficial for a company. The importance of public relations studies needs to be socialized from an early age. Especially for those who received their education at Vocational High School or SMK, in order to familiarize the with public relations concepts as required before entering the work environment.  The fundamental contribution of this service is to increase the awareness, knowledge, and skills of the students of SMKN 1 Pariwisata Praya in developing and implementing public relations concepts that support science in the field of hospitality and multimedia.  This service is carried out in the form of public relations management training with the target of students majoring in hospitality and multimedia at SMKN 1 Pariwisata Praya. The method is carried out through four stages, including motivating, practicing, mentoring, and evaluation. This workshop increases the awareness, knowledge, and skills of the students in practicing public speaking and PR writing based on journalistic standards including the elements of 5W+1H and understanding the news values list to create newsworthy content.
