Abstract

Social capital is fundamental for tourism development in the Kuta Village area of Lombok. Social capital is needed for the development of trust, networking, cooperation and social norms in addition to the development of existing traditions and cultures. Digital social capital is a necessity that is a complement to conventional social capital. To develop digital social capital, digital literacy is needed. This community service aims to provide digital literacy to tourism awareness groups in Kuta Village, Lombok. This community service is carried out in Kuta Village, Lombok. The participants are leaders and members of tourism awareness groups. The community service used the andragogy method. Digital literacy is carried out through training and mentoring. The material provided is the wise use of social media to increase digital social capital. The results of the service showed that after attending training and mentoring, participants felt more confident to be active on social media in order to build digital social capital such as networks, trust and institutions. Participants stated that they could identify and choose social media that suits their needs in developing social capital and tourism in their regions. Participants know the ethics and procedures of social media so that they able to avoid the dangers of social media such as violations of law and morality. Participants are able to develop their credibility so that trust will grow, networks are built so that they can promote Kuta tourism better.
